NANNY-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in LAKE FOREST, IL 60045
This friendly family has 2 children: 9-year-old twin boys and is seeking a calm, patient and proactive Nanny-Household Manager to stay with them long-term. Mom and dad live in separate homes. 1 week the boys will be with mom and the following week the boys will be with dad. Both are located in Lake Forest. One of the boys has ADHD and Sensory Integration issues, so nanny will need to be calm, patient and understanding to work through this with him. Duties will include a mix of household management duties (while children are at school) and childcare duties (when children are home). Duties include: grocery shopping, meal preparation and cooking dinner for kids, children's laundry, keep common areas and boys' rooms neat/tidy and organized, keep cars neat and tidy after driving the kids around, load/unload dishwasher, organizational projects, take family's vehicle in for services, gas, washes, etc. as needed, wait for repairs/maintenance services as needed, pick up kids from school, drive them to/from after-school activities, ensure children do their homework, organize play dates and play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, take to parks, playgrounds, swimming, etc. and be involved in the kids interests (soccer, sports, trampoline parks, etc.). Nanny must be an experienced driver and can use family vehicles for driving. Parents work from home some of the time. The ideal candidate will be very proactive/a self-starter and recognize what needs to be done in the home and with the kids, be very loving and empathetic, extremely reliable and an excellent communicator.
Work days and hours:
Week 1 at Mom's House (30-35 hours/week): Monday-Friday: 12pm-6/6:30pm
Week 2 at Dad's House (20 hours/week): Monday-Friday: 2pm-6pm. If Nanny needs more hours on this week, he/she can go to mom's house before this to do household management to get hours up to 30-35/week.
*NOTE: It would be a big plus if the Nanny can do some weekend hours on occasion. But not a must.
**NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver, family will provide a car to drive children to/from school and activities and to run family errands.
Salary: $26-$30 per hour TAKE HOME
