Part-time Housekeeper Jobs

PART-TIME HOUSEHOLD MANAGER-HOUSEKEEPER needed in OAK PARK, IL 60302

This busy family of 5 is seeking a reliable, detail oriented, and proactive Household Manager-Housekeeper to stay with their family long-term. Home is 3,800 square feet but family already has a Housekeeper to do the deep cleaning. Household Manager-Housekeeper will be responsible for the following: dishes, wipe down counters, pick things up around the home and straighten things up, organize home and seasonal items, laundry, household management tasks (such as purchasing gifts, running errands, putting away grocery order, throwing away expired items, oversee maintenance services, etc.), keep cars clean and occasionally take for service, keep outdoor porch clean, and prep food (cleaning and putting away fruit, chopping vegetables, etc.). Family has 3 school-aged children: 12-year-old girl, 10-year-old boy (has ADHD/anxiety—he is very sweet but has high energy and can sometimes get frustrated—candidate should set boundaries and limits with him), and an 8-year-old girl.  Household Manager will need to drive children to/from their after-school activities on occasion. Family plans on getting a Rottweiler in the winter (must be open to occasionally walking and taking care of the dog) so MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DOGS! Both parents work from home 3-5 days a week. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, take initiative, and able to make decision on their own.

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 28 hours per week.

Work days and hours:

Monday: 1pm-6pm

Tuesday: 1pm-7pm

Wednesday: 12pm-6pm

Thursday: 1pm-7pm

Friday: 12pm-5pm

NOTE: Candidate must be flexible to shift schedule by 30 minutes on occasion (example: starting a half an hour later and leaving a half an hour earlier and vice versa) depending on the children’s activity schedules.

NOTE: Candidate must be an experienced driver. Family will provide car for candidate to use (if candidate is comfortable using their car to drive children/run errands from time to time that is a plus but not a must—will be reimbursed for mileage)

Salary: TO BE DISCUSSED WITH PLACEMENT COUNSELOR

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 national holidays, and 5 sick days

Family does not have any pets now but plans on getting a Rottweiler in the winter (large dog)
