AFTER-SCHOOL NANNY-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER  needed in SCHAUMBURG, IL 60194

This busy family has 2 children: 10-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl and is seeking a flexible, organized and proactive Nanny-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. Kids are in school until 3:30/4pm. Parents work from home some of the time. Some days will be more childcare-focused and some days will be more household management/family assistant duties (when parents are with the kids), so nanny must be flexible as each day will look a little different. 

Duties will vary depending on the day but can include: take children to/from activities, prepare snacks and meals for kids, run errands, play and engage with kids in developmentally appropriate activities, take kids to parks/playground, make kids' beds, tidy up common areas, organizational projects, load/unload dishwasher, ensure children get homework done (when parents are not with the kids), help with holiday preparations (ex: birthday gifts, cards, decorate for holidays, etc.), family laundry, run errands, store exchanges, schedule maintenance services as needed and be there for these services, pet care -let dog out, walk as time allows, etc., help prepare dinner, and dog-sit if candidate is able-but not a must.  Parents work from home some of the time. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, be very reliable and a self-starter. 

Work days and hours: 

Monday-Thursday: 3pm-7pm 

NOTE: Flexibility to stay later on occasion. Flexibility to help with weekends on occasion. 
 

**Nanny must be an experienced driver. Sometimes can use family vehicle and sometimes will need to use own vehicle--and will be reimbursed. 

Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor--Based on experience

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week aligning with family's), 6 national holidays, 3 sick days.

*Family has 1 medium dog--Cattledog Mix
