FULL-TIME NANNY-MOTHER'S HELPER needed in CHICAGO, IL 60647 (BUCKTOWN)

This busy and loving family has 1 child: 1-month-old baby girl and is seeking an experienced, nurturing and knowledgeable Nanny-Mother's Helper to stay with their family long-term. Mom works 2-3 days a week; so the days she is home will be a mix of nanny and household duties. Duties include: newborn care (bottles, naps, diapers, etc.), bathe child as needed, get child dressed, prepare bottles for baby, wash/sterilize bottles, prepare solids when baby is old enough to eat solids, play and engage with baby in developmentally appropriate activities, read books, sing songs, etc., take to parks, on walks and to activities as she gets older-library, playdates, classes, etc.,  tidying up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, running errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, family laundry and organizational projects. The ideal candidate will be helpful, flexible, mature and calm. 

Work days and hours:

40 hours per week guaranteed. Monday-Friday. Typically 2 long days (ex: 6:30am/7am-7/8pm) and 3 short days (ex 8am-12/1pm). Exact schedule will be determined each week between Nanny and Family. 

*NOTE: Flexibility to work more hours on occasion would be a big plus; but not a must.

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver, family will provide a car to drive children to/from school and activities and to run family errands.

 

*Family has 2 cats.

Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor-based on experience
