Part-time Housekeeper Jobs

PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-COOK needed in CHICAGO, IL 60614 (OLD TOWN)

Family of 4 is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and reliable Housekeeper-Cook to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: Deep clean and maintain the 3,000 square foot home, vacuuming, dusting, etc., pick up clutter and put back in the right spots, load/unload dishwasher, make beds, change linens, family laundry, run errands including grocery shopping, meal prep and cooking  of dinner and clean up of the kitchen after cooking. Family can provide recipes for this person and has several recipe books that they can look through to pick meals. Meals will be simple/quick family meals (15-30 min meals) and should be healthy (ex: chicken, veggies, rice, salads, etc.). The ideal candidate will know how to self-manage and prioritize tasks and develop a schedule for the cleaning routine. For the cleaning part of the job, the family prefers the use of less toxic/natural products. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, friendly and dedicated. Parent works from home.

This is a long-term position for 3 days and 15 hours a week.

Work days and hours:

Option 1 (12-15 hours/week; Preferred Schedule): Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 4-5 hours each day OR  Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 6 hours on Mon and Wed and 3 hours on Fri. Flexible on start/end times. 

Option 2 (14-16 hours/week):  Monday/Thursday:  7 or 8 hours per day. Flexible on start/end times.

Option 2 (14-16 hours/week):  Tuesday/Thursday: 7 or 8 hours per day. Flexible on start/end times.

Option 3 (14-16 hours/week): Tuesday/Friday: 7 or 8 hours per day. Flexible on start/end time

 
*NOTE: Driving is needed for running errands/grocery shopping. Preferable to use candidate's car and will be reimbursed for mileage.


Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor 

Benefits: 1 week paid vacation, 6 national holidays and 3 sick days
