TEMPORARY NIGHT NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60610 (GOLD COAST)

START DATE: AUGUST 4TH

END DATE: OCTOBER 30TH 

This sweet family is expecting baby #2 in August and is seeking an experienced, loving and comforting Night Nanny. Mom is scheduled to have a C-section, so will need assistance with baby while she recovers. Duties include: handling the nighttime schedule for baby, putting baby to sleep, managing baby's comfort and needs, changing diapers, feeding baby--this will include a mix of breastfeeding (bringing baby to mom) and bottle feeding, if mom is needing to pump-bring her pump parts, water, etc., if mom is breastfeeding-bring her baby, water, snacks, etc., wash/sterilize bottles and pump parts and baby's laundry-if needed. Nanny should follow the lead of the parents on how they would like the night to look like--swaddling, changes to sleep set up, feedings, etc. The family is looking to start very gentle (no strict sleep training)-lots of cuddles, baby wearing, etc. to get baby to sleep and as it gets closer to the 12 week mark, start to gently guide the baby towards a consistent feeding and sleep schedule. The ideal candidate will be confident, warm and motherly. 

*Position will start on August 4th and go until October 30th**

Work days and hours:

Month of August: 

5 nights per week (4 weekdays and 1 weekend):: 7pm-7am  (60 hours/week)

September and October:

4 nights per week (3 weekdays and 1 weekend): 8pm/9pm-7am (40-44 hours/week)

*Family has 2 very large dogs--Newfoundlands

Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor-Dependent on Experience--TAKE HOME 

Benefits: National Holidays off/paid if falls on a work day (Labor Day)
