Family's summer residence is in Chicago Illinois. Family's winter residence is in Southwest Florida.
This is a dream job for a nanny who has the freedom to reside in 2 locations, enjoys an active lifestyle and travelling (the family will arrange times for the nanny to take short trips back home to see her family). It is a live-in position while in Florida (nanny is provided with a bedroom and bathroom suite with an isolated entrance) and come-and-go while in Chicago (the nanny would do a short-term lease; if needed, a live-in option is possible in Chicago as well). If the candidate is from Florida and lives close to the family's home, the position can be come-and-go while in Florida.
The family has a 3-year-old boy. Both parents are high level executives who are able to work from home (at all times). The family resides in Chicago for 4-6 months and in Southwest Florida for 6-8 months per year. While in Florida, the family leads a very active lifestyle that includes sports, outdoor activities, swimming, etc. They are looking for a proactive and energetic Nanny/Household Manager to care for the child and home. Nanny responsibilities include preparing healthy meals and snacks, organizing play spaces, planning, engaging in and playing with child in fun, educational and stimulating activities. House management responsibilities include light housekeeping, making beds, tidying living areas, grocery shopping, dishes, laundry, ironing, organizing the household, and assisting the mother in the kitchen. The nanny must be a team-player and also able to work well independently. The nanny must be very detail oriented and highly organized.
The house is 10,000 sf. Deep cleaning of the home is performed by a cleaning service.
This is a long-term position for 5 days and 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday: 40h/week in the frame of 8/9am - 5/6 pm (flexibility needed for some evenings)
Note #1: Cooking capability is preferred, but not required. If the nanny - household manager is able to cook, this responsibility would be split between the nanny - household manager and the mother. Otherwise, the nanny - household manager would assist the mother in the kitchen (chopping vegetables, preparing other ingredients, etc.)
Note #2: The family's Florida home is located on the beach and has a swimming pool. The nanny must be able to swim.
Note #3: The mother works part-time and takes an active role in raising the child, so the childcare duties will be shared between the mother and the nanny - household manager.
Note 4: Applicable for the post-Covid time. The family takes several domestic/international trips per year (one trip lasting up to 1 month). Accompanying the family on vacation trips is generally required (all travel expenses covered).
Note 5: The Nanny must be an experienced driver with an impeccable driving record. Nanny's or family's car would be used for work purposes (car transportation from/to Illinois/Florida can be arranged).
Family has no pets.
Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year (before taxes)
Paid Time Off: 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 national holidays, 3 sick days

When/if things open back-up, family would also like the nanny to take kids to get some socialization--playdates, library, museums, etc. The ideal candidate will be very nurturing, an excellent communicator and active. If hired, must get CPR/First Aid Certified. Parents are currently working from home at the moment.
This is a long-term position for 5 days and around 45 hours a week.
Work days and hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:45am/8am - 5pm
**NOTE: Schedule will typically be around 45 hours a week. . Schedule may vary a little bit--ex: maybe 7:30am-4:30pm, or 8am-4:30pm, etc. Would never go past 5:30pm. Advanced notice for any schedule changes.

The family follows the Whole Brain child method and Montessori approach with their children (setting boundaries and focusing on things the kids can do rather than the things they cannot do, etc.) and would like the nanny to follow the same approach with their children. Nanny should be energetic, creative and very engaging to come up with fun and active activities to do with the children. Parents currently work from home.
**Family will need full-time hours until youngest goes to school in the fall. Position can start ASAP and go until August 2021. If nanny is interested in reducing hours in the fall, they can keep the nanny on long-term.**
This is a long-term position for 5 days and 49-52 hours a week.
