FULL-TIME NANNY needed in EVANSTON, IL 60201

This loving family has 2 children: 1-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl and is seeking a responsible, engaging and communicative Nanny to stay with their family long-term. 7 year old is in school during the day, so the primary role will be with the 1 year old, however, Nanny should be comfortable to watch both children on the days she is home (breaks, holidays, etc.). Duties include: get child ready for the day (dressed, brush teeth, etc.), prepare healthy snacks and meals for children, play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, teach letters, numbers, colors, etc., read books, sing songs, play games, do arts and crafts, outdoor play, etc, take to nearby parks, playgrounds, library, etc., facilitate nap time, tidy up common areas and kitchen clean-up after meals and load/unload dishwasher. The ideal candidate will be very creative, engaging, energetic and safe. Parents work from home and will be in and out throughout the day. 

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 40-45 hours/week. 

Work days and hours:

Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5pm

*NOTE: Some flexibility here/there on the schedule. In the fall, family may put 1 year old in morning preschool a few days a week. If that is the case, the Nanny must be flexible to potentially shift hours later and/or add in household management duties on days child is in school. 

Salary:  To be discussed with Placement Counselor--based on experience

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 national holidays, 5 sick days.
