FULL-TIME NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60610 (Gold Coast)

This kind family has 2 children: 4-year-old boy and a 2.5-year-old girl and is seeking an engaging, passionate, and loving Nanny to stay with their family long-term. Family is conservative and catholic and looking for a Nanny who shares similar values. Duties include: getting on the floor and playing with the children, be in engaging with them, imaginative/creative play (no screens/TV time), play outdoors, do the children’s laundry, cook meals for the children (homecooked balanced meals-not frozen meals), do the dishes, unload/load the dishwasher, empty the garbage, keep children’s rooms and their areas neat and tidy, and tidy up after the children eat (wipe down tables and clean floors). Mom works from home a couple days a week. The ideal candidate will be a career Nanny who will grow/evolve with the family and be loving, experienced, and energetic.

Work days and hours

From now until end of the school year (early June):

Monday: 8am-5:30pm

Tuesday: 10:30am-5:30pm

Wednesday: 8am-5:30pm

Thursday: 10:30am-5:30pm

Friday: 8am-5:30pm

NOTE: Schedule in the summer and the following school year will be subject to change. Family will be able to guarantee 40 hours per week. While the children are in summer camp or at school Nanny will be responsible for household management tasks (examples include: organizing closets, organizing children’s spaces, wipe down children’s equipment (stroller, car seats, etc.), prepare simple lunches for parents (example: salads, chicken salads, etc.), and any other in-home tasks the family asks (family will provide list))

NOTE: Traveling domestically with family is a plus but not a must

NOTE: Spanish or Filipino speaking is a plus but not a must

NOTE: No driving is needed right now but could be in the future. Nanny must have a valid drivers license. If Nanny takes own car to/from work there is free street parking or family will pay for a parking spot.

Salary: TAKE HOME: To be discussed with Placement Counselor

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week Nanny’s choice and 1 week family’s choice), 6 national holidays, and 3 sick days
