PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in LONG GROVE, IL 60047

This friendly family of 3 is seeking a proactive, organized, and committed Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term.

**Family currently lives in Highland Park and is moving in early May to Long Grove**

Duties:

  • Full-charge housekeeping and daily maintenance of a 7,000+ sq ft home (interior and exterior)
  • Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, and washing surfaces (floors, walls, countertops, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces)
  • Maintain a consistently tidy, organized, and guest-ready home
  • Make beds and regularly change linens
  • Manage full household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, putting away, and maintaining organization of closets and wardrobes
  • Maintain and enhance organization throughout the home, including closets, cabinets, and storage spaces, and create and implement organization systems
  • Perform daily kitchen upkeep, including cleaning dishes, surfaces, and floors
  • Monitor, restock, and maintain household supplies and inventory
  • Take out and manage trash, recycling, and breakdown of boxes
  • Clean and maintain additional areas of the home, including patio and upper deck, and remove cobwebs/spiderwebs both inside and exterior entry areas
  • Water plants (shared on a schedule with the family)
  • Let vendors into the home and coordinate access as needed
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel as needed

Qualifications:

  • Someone who is hardworking, trustworthy and proactive. Sees something that needs to be done and does it. Loves to clean and organize. Someone who is detail oriented. Highly discreet and professional.
  • Someone who can be flexible and evolve as the family and household does.
  • Has experience working in a private discreet family setting.
  •  Must speak, read and write English fluently and communicate well. Bonus if candidate can speak Italian but not a must!
  • All cleaning to be done with clean and fragrance-free materials - family member(s) are sensitive to smells.

Mom is a stay-at-home-parent and dad works from home. Family will be trying to grow their family. Candidate must be comfortable with mom openly breastfeeding and washing pump parts. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, trustworthy, and take initiative. They are looking for a long-term addition to their household.

This is a part-time position for 3-4 days and between 20-25 hours per week

Work days and hours:

3 or 4 days a week for 20-25 hours per week (family is flexible on days as long as one of the days is a Friday) and flexible on start/end times (as long as position ends before 6pm)

NOTE: Occasional weekends/or later nights will be needed with advanced notice

NOTE: Candidate must be an experienced driver. You will need to use your own car and will be reimbursed for mileage.

Salary: $30-$35 per hour BEFORE TAXES

Benefits: 7 days of PTO and any national holidays that fall o a work day
