Full-time Housekeeper Jobs

FULL-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER-COOK needed in LONG GROVE, IL 60047

This friendly family of 3 is seeking a proactive, organized, and committed Housekeeper-Household Manager-Cook to stay with their family long-term.

**Family currently lives in Highland Park and is moving in early May to Long Grove**

Duties include but not limited to:

• All deep cleaning and maintaining of the home (7,000 square feet)
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, washing - floors, walls, counters, tables, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.
• All organization of the home - create organization systems
• Laundry - all household things +clothes - wash, dry, fold, put away, iron etc. and organization of closets/wardrobes
• Making beds, change linens
• Daily tidying of rooms
• Kitchen - clean and organize fridge and pantry, dishes, floors etc. daily
• Meal plan
• Cook meals and snacks that are healthy and tasteful, some to be eaten right away and some to freeze or for us to reheat later.
• Grocery shopping (this will be split between family and Housekeeper)
• Water plants (also split between family and Housekeeper on a schedule)
• Take care of all spiderwebs etc. both inside and outside on the home
• Cleaning patio and upper deck
• Letting vendors into the home
• Pack/unpack travel
• Potentially running errands for the house/household
• Take out and handle all trash, recycling, cardboard boxes etc.
• Occasional childcare (not main duty) (1.5-year-old girl)
• Must create a detailed schedule and stay on top of for cleaning and share with us (weekly; monthly; seasonally)
• Let out the dog and if comfortable, take on small walks

Qualifications:

• Someone who is hardworking, trustworthy and proactive. Sees something that needs to be done and does it. Loves to clean, organize and cook. Someone who is detail oriented. Highly discreet and professional.
• Someone who can be flexible and evolve as the family and household does.
• Has experience working in a private discreet family setting.
•  Must speak, read and write English fluently and communicate well. Bonus if candidate can speak Italian but not a must!
• All cleaning to be done with clean and fragrance-free materials - family member(s) are sensitive to smells.

Mom is a stay-at-home-parent and dad works from home. Family will be trying to grow their family. Candidate must be comfortable with mom openly breastfeeding and washing pump parts. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, trustworthy, and take initiative. They are looking for a long-term addition to their household.

Work days and hours:

Monday-Friday: 9am-6pm

NOTE: Occasional weekends/or later nights will be needed with advanced notice

NOTE: Candidate must be an experienced driver. You will need to use your own car and will be reimbursed for mileage.

Salary: BEFORE TAXES (to be discussed with Placement Counselor)

Benefits: 14 days of vacation/sick days, 6 national holidays (if must work a holiday will be discussed directly with family as it comes up), and a 401k
