FULL-TIME NANNY-MOTHER'S HELPER needed in HINSDALE, IL 60521

This busy family has 2 children: 2.5-year-old boy (he is in daycare until 4pm) and 2-month-old girl and is seeking an experienced, upbeat, and proactive Nanny-Mother’s Helper to stay with their family long-term. 50% of the position is child care related and 50% is household management tasks. Mom is a stay-at-home parent for now. While mom takes care of baby Nanny will do household management tasks. While mom needs to go out Nanny will just do child care. Child care duties include: newborn care (feeding, diaper, naptime), create educational/developmentally appropriate activities, teach them letters, colors, numbers and shapes, make meals for the children, and help with bedtime routine. Household management tasks: light housekeeping, family laundry, dishes, meal prep (chop veggies), organizational projects, and only if comfortable taking the dog on a walk. MUST LOVE DOGS! Dad works from home. The ideal candidate will be positive, engaging, and organized.

Work days and hours:

Monday-Friday: 12pm-8pm

NOTE: Family could potentially do an end time of 7pm or 7:30pm (though not preferred)

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver. Nanny will need to use own car and will be reimbursed for gas mileage.

NOTE: Early childhood education experience is a huge plus but not a must!

Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week Nanny’s choice and 1 week family’s choice), 6 national holidays, and 5 sick days
