FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME NANNY-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in NEW LENOX, IL 60451

This very nice mom has 2 children who need care: 14-year-old girl and almost 12-year-old boy and is seeking a communicative, flexible, and warm Nanny-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: get one child off of the bus and pick up the other child from school, take them to/from activities, take them to the pool in the summer, do children's laundry, start dinner (start crockpot or put something in the oven that is already made), light housekeeping (tidy up kitchen, load/unload the dishwasher, and keep home tidy), and let the dog out and take on a walk. Additional household manager tasks for additional hours: organizational projects, running errands, etc. Mom works from home 1 day a week and her adult 18-year-old daughter lives at home as well. The ideal candidate will be fun, responsible, and be an extension of the family.

This is a long-term position for 5 days and between 20-40 hours per week

Work days and hours:

School Year Schedule:

Option 1: 20-35 hours per week: Monday-Friday: MUST hours are 2pm-6pm. Family can add additional hours if candidate is interested. These hours will be for more household management tasks.

Option 2: 36-40 hours per week: Monday-Friday: MUST hours are 2pm-6pm. Family can add additional hours if candidate is interested. These hours will be for more household management tasks.

Summer Schedule:

40 hours per week: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm (NOTE: some days will be shorter and some days will be longer—this will depend on the children’s summer activity/camp schedules. Family will let Nanny know in advanced the schedule for the summer).

NOTE: Occasional overnights are a MUST (1 weekend every 2-3 months and 1 or 2 weekdays once every few months)

NOTE: Nanny-Household Manager must be an experienced driver. You will need to use your own car and will be reimbursed for mileage

Salary: TO BE DISCUSSED WITH PLACEMENT COUNSELOR

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week Nanny’s choice and 1 week family’s choice), 8 holidays, and 5 sick days
