FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME NANNY-MOTHER'S HELPER needed in HINSDALE, IL 60521

This loving Catholic family has 6 children: 10-year-old boy,10-year-old girl, 8-year-old boy, 5-year-old boy, 3-year-old boy  and 1-year-old boy and is seeking a mature, helpful and flexible Nanny-Mother's Helper to stay with their family long-term. Mom stays home and her main focus is the children. The job will be a mix of household duties and childcare. This person must be flexible as some days might look different--ex: some days might be more household duties, some more childcare, some a mix. Tag-teaming with mom is the plan, so candidate must be fully comfortable working around a big family. Duties include: light housekeeping (they have someone who deep cleans, but light day to day cleaning will be needed) and tidying up common areas--wiping down counters, vacuuming/mopping/sweeping after meals/spills, family laundry, dishes, picking up clutter/putting back where it belongs, making beds, meal prep and assisting with cooking dinner and snacks, run errands, assisting with driving children to practices as needed, grocery shopping, schedule maintenance services as needed, organizational projects, play and engage with children (when childcare is needed) and assist with bedtime routine for kids (brush teeth, pajamas, baths, books, etc.). The ideal candidate will be loving, able to handle a large household, sweet and reliable. 

*NOTE: It would be great if candidate could travel with the family a few times a year--but this is not a must

Work days and hours:

Option 1 (40 hours/week): Monday-Friday: 11am-7pm

Option 2 (25 hours/week): Monday-Friday: 3pm-8pm

Option 3 (20 hours/week): Monday-Friday: 3pm-7pm

*NOTE: For any of the above options, some flexibility will be needed here/there. Ex: sometimes start/end times will shift a bit, sometimes family will need them to stay later, etc. Flexibility to help out with some Saturdays would be a big +. Some flexibility to help out with overnights on occasion would be a bit plus as well! 

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver, sometimes can use family car, sometimes may need to use own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage. 


Salary: To be discussed with Placement Counselor--based on experience

Benefits: Paid vacation, national holidays and sick days--dependent on part-time or full-time--to be discussed at time of offer
