FULL-TIME NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60647 (Logan Square)

This loving family has 1 child: 10-month-old boy and is seeking an experienced, proactive, and kind Nanny to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: : baby care (feeding, diaper, naptime), make food for baby, clean-up after him, help achieve milestones, create developmentally/age-appropriate activities, talk to him, go for walks to parks/playgrounds, take him to the library and activity classes and while he is napping fold laundry and do the dishes. Very important to the family that the nanny is loving and nurturing and truly cares for healthy development of the child. Dad works from home 1 day and week and mom will be in and out of the house. MUST BE OR WILLING TO BECOME CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFIED AND MUST BE UP-TO-DATE ON VACCINATIONS. The Nanny MUST LOVE DOGS! The dog is nice but is reactive to new people (barks a lot and my lunge—not dangerous) so Nanny must be comfortable getting to know the dog and must understand the dog make take some time to get used to the Nanny. The ideal candidate will be very loving, warm, and affectionate.

Work days and hours

Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm

NOTE: Occasional date nights are a plus but not a must!

NOTE: Most activities are within walking distance from the family’s home (1/2 mile-1 mile). However, on inclement weather days where Nanny and child cannot walk to activities Nanny must use own car to drive the child and will be reimbursed for mileage.

Salary: $30 per hour

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (aligning with the family’s), 6 national holidays, and 5 sick days
