Part-time Housekeeper Jobs

PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in HINSDALE, IL 60521

This busy family is seeking a trustworthy, experienced and communicative Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. Job will be about 50% housekeeping and 50% household management duties. Duties include: Deep clean and maintain the large home (main areas cleaned daily (kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living room, etc.) and other areas of the home cleaned on a cycle), dishes, tidy up/pick up clutter, change linens, make the beds, dust, vacuum, mop, organizational projects, grocery shopping, errands--household supply shopping, post office, returns, etc, wrapping presents, assisting with packing, watering plants, pet care--walking the dogs, feeding, taking to the vet as needed, etc., laundry and ironing as needed. Cooking would be a big plus as well--but not a must. If interested, this would be meals such as soups, stews, banana bread, etc. The ideal candidate will be  discrete, honest and detail-oriented. Typically, during the school year there will only be 1 person there and in the summer 4-5. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of housekeeping experience, be very organized, flexible and dedicated. The home is a very large, older home, so someone with experience cleaning an older home would be a big +. 

*Driving is a must. A car can be provided for errands. 

Work days and hours:

Option 1 (3 days/week; 24 hours/week): 8 hours each day.  Mon/Wed/Fri, Mon/Tue/Fri or Mon/Thur/Fri. Flexible on start/end times.

Option 2 (4 days/week: 25 hours/week): Flexible how the hours are spread to equate to 25 hours/week. Mon and Fri are must days. The other 2 days can be a Tue,Wed,Thur,Sat or Sun.. Flexible on start/end times. 

Option 3 (5 days/week: 25 hours/week): Mon and Fri are must days. Flexible on the other 3 days. Flexible on start/end times.

*NOTE: There will be an opportunity for more hours in the summer if candidates is interested. (when kids are home in the summer). This would be a plus not a must.

Salary: To be discussed directly with Placement Counselor--Dependent on Experience--BEFORE TAXES

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 8 national holidays, 8 sick days.
