High-End Nanny Jobs

AFTER-SCHOOL NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60611 (GOLD COAST) 

This sweet family has 1 child: 4 year old boy and is seeking a reliable, patient and caring After-School Nanny to stay with them long-term. Child has Autism. He is non-verbal and attends a special pre-school during the day. He receives ABA, speech, OT and PT. Nanny must be comfortable with this. He communicates by leading an adult by the hand and pointing or gesturing. He also can say some one-word phrases such as "open." Special needs experience would be a plus but not a must. Someone very patient and calm is ideal. 

Duties include: pick up child from school, take him home, have him use the potty, prepare a snack, play and engage with him (he loves books, art projects, vehicles and instruments), tidy up common areas, grooming when needed (ex: clipping nails, bath time, etc.),  take to parks, playgrounds, library, etc., load/unload the dishwasher, and child's laundry if time allows. The ideal candidate will be dependable, calm, loving, and creative with activities to do with child. Parents work from home. Grandparents sometimes come by. 

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 20 hours a week.

Work days and hours:

Monday-Friday: 2pm-6pm or 2:30pm-6:30pm
 

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver. You will have to drive children to/from school and activities. Nanny's car would be preferred but not a must. 

Family has 2 cats.

Salary: To be discussed dependent on experience--BEFORE TAXES
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (trying to align with family's when possible), 6 national holidays, 3 sick days.
