Part-time Housekeeper Jobs

PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in CHICAGO, IL 60618 (ROSCOE VILLAGE)

This active family of 4 is seeking a happy, trustworthy, and proactive Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: deep clean and maintain the 4,000 square foot home, laundry (wash, fold, and put away), tidy/pick up the children’s toys, change bed sheets, run errands (returns, take car for a wash, drop-off/pick-up dry cleaning, etc.), maintain home and manage work needed (e: plumber, painter, HVAC, etc. example: spotting a water stain on a wall and identifying vendors to help, quote, and coordinate), and clean and purge of cabinets, fridge, and closets, organizational projects, help decorate for holidays (put-up/take down indoor and outdoor decorations), help setup for parities (example: set tables), and occasionally feed and walk the dog (this will be rare). During the warm months tidy up rooftop patio (also clean glass and wipe down counters), keep items stocked (either order or make a list of what is running low), plant care (indoor and outdoor—water), keep front and back porches cleaned off, and in summer help organize and keep garage tidy MUST LOVE DOGS AND CHILDREN! Both parents work from home and children/other household staff will be in the home. MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING AROUND THE FAMILY.  The ideal candidate will be positive, upbeat, and need minimal direction.

This is a part-time position for 3-4 days and 16 hours per week

Work days and hours

4 days a week:
Candidates working a 4-day schedule may have ONE set of consecutive workdays during the week (for example: Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday). Saturday and Sunday cannot be worked together.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday shifts must end by 2pm.
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts must be scheduled between 8am–5pm.

3 days a week options:

Option 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (work day will need to be done by 2pm)

Option 2: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday (Monday and Wednesdays need to be done by 2pm and Saturday schedule can be between the hours of 8am-5pm)

Option 3: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (hours need to be between 8am-5pm)

Option 4: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday (hours need to be between 8am-5pm)

NOTE: Driving is not a requirement as long as Housekeeper-Household Manager are able to handle returns. Otherwise, mileage will be reimbursed for using own car for running errands. Free street parking is available. 

NOTE: Working an occasional weekend is a plus but not a must!

Salary: TO BE DISCUSSED WITH PLACEMENT COUNSELORS

Benefits: 6 days of PTO and paid national holidays that fall on a work day
