FULL-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in WINNETKA, IL 60093

This busy and active family is seeking a responsible, kind and proactive Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term.  Duties include: Clean and maintain the 10,000 square foot home (deep clean main living areas, and the rest of the house can be cleaned on a schedule or as needed), make beds, change bed linens, load/unload dishwasher, run errands, let dogs out, take for walks, family laundry, organizational projects, grocery shopping, meal preparation, cooking dinner (family can provide recipes) and occasionally help mom with driving of kids to/from after-school activities  Mom stays home and is in/out throughout the day. Children are in school during the day but will be around in the afternoons-so someone that is comfortable and friendly around children. The ideal candidate should be dependable, enjoys cooking and is self-driven.

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 40-45 hours per week

Work days and hours:

Monday-Friday: 9am-6pm

*NOTE: Flexibility to help with very occasional overnights would be a big plus--but not a must!

*NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver and can use own vehicle or family vehicle for driving.


Salary: $30-$35 per hour

This friendly family of 5 is seeking an experienced, proactive and reliable Household Manager to stay with them for many years. Mom stays home and 3 older kids are in school during the day. Duties include: light housekeeping/maintaining--tidying up common areas (kitchen, family room, bedrooms, bathrooms, vacuum as needed, etc.--they have a weekly service that does the deep/heavy cleaning), get the mail, organizational projects, family laundry, change linens, light ironing-as needed, run errands-such as dry cleaning, grocery shopping, household supply shopping, returns/exchanges, assist with meal prep and some light cooking (following a simple recipe), take family vehicle to get serviced as needed, wait for repairs/maintenance services as needed, pet care for cats and assist with driving children--pick up from school, drop off at after-school activities. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, friendly and dedicated.

Work Hours:

Monday-Friday: 12:30pm-5:30pm or 1pm-6pm

This friendly family has 1 child: 11-year-old boy and is seeking a mature, loving and proactive Nanny-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. The child will be in school during the day and is also at the home 50% of the time (Wed, Thur and Fri). When child is there--more childcare duties will be needed, and when child is not there, more household management duties will be needed. Duties include: pick up child from school, drive to/from after school activities, drive to/from camps in the summer, prepare snacks, ensure child does his homework, play and engage in appropriate activities with child--sports, games, etc. tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, family laundry, make beds, run errands--ex: dry cleaning, returns, grocery shopping, etc., organizational projects, helping come up with organizational systems, schedule home repairs/maintenance services, pack/unpack for trips, pet care--feed, walk dog, etc., meal prep and helping prepare dinner, help with holiday decor and any additional projects that the family may need help with. The ideal candidate will be helpful, compassionate and organized.

Work days and hours:

Option 1 (24 hours/week): Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 10am-6pm

Option 2 (32 hours/week): Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 10am-6pm

Option 3 (40 hours/week): Monday-Friday: 10am-6pm

This easygoing family has 2 children: 2-year-old boy and 4-year-old boy and is seeking a mature, sweet, and good-natured Nanny-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. Childcare duties include: help get children ready in the morning, take them to daycare (they are in daycare from 8:30am/9am-3pm/4:30pm), pick them up from daycare, go to parks/playgrounds, and play with them. Household Manager duties include: running errands (grocery shopping, take clothes to/from drycleaners, store returns/exchanges, etc.), organizational projects, light housekeeping, family’s laundry, following a list of tasks the family asks, and cooking basic home cooked meals for the family (example: chicken and rice). Both parents work from home. Some days may be more child care (example: mom running errands and Nanny taking care of the children) and some days Nanny may do more household management tasks while mom plays with the children. The ideal candidate will be loving, flexile, and helpful.

This is a part-time position for 5 days and 25-30 hours per week

Monday-Friday: This is a spit schedule: MUST hours are 7:30am-9:30am and from 4pm-6pm for childcare duties. This professional family of 4 (2 working professionals and 2 children) is seeking an experienced, professional and proactive Housekeeper-Household Manager to join their household team long-term.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated, communicative and organized.

Duties include:

• Deep clean and maintain the main residence of the building (3 bedroom condo- 2,600 square feet)--tidying up, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, tubs, showers, wiping down surfaces, etc.
• Make beds and change linens
• There are other units within the property that will need to be cleaned on a rotational schedule. 1. Office/Gym with a bathroom and kitchen--approx. 1-2x a week, 2. Guest unit--cleaned as needed when guests are expected, 3. 2 floor condo that is a large play room for the children--2x a week. These units are approx 2,000 square feet
• Clean, tidy, and organize outdoor living spaces (e. G., rooftop decks and balconies)
• Family laundry (sort, wash, fold, etc.)
• Ironing/steaming bed linens
• Managing dry cleaning and inspecting clothing and linens upon return.
• Receiving packages
• Putting groceries away and keeping fridge clean, organized and stocked
• Managing inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and guest amenities. Reordering items when running low to ensure smooth operations.
• Helping care for the family cat (cleaning litter box, feeding, etc.)
• Maintaining eco-friendly practices such as sorting trash: recycling, trash, compost and energy conservation measures
• Packing/unpacking for trips, ensuring all necessary items are prepared
• Running errands (occasional grocery shopping or Walgreen visit).
• Caring for indoor & outdoor plants
• Being present for vendors and providing updates to estate management team
• Meal prep including chopping vegetables and cleaning vegetables and fruit

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a large, luxury home or estate
• Strong references
• Confidentiality-The position requires the candidate to maintain strict confidentiality, as evidenced by the willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement
• Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with the family and other staff members.
• Candidates must possess physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, climb stairs, kneel, and bend, to fulfill the physical demands of the role
•  A valid driver's license is required, along with a safe driving record, as candidates may be responsible for running errands and transportation needs using the family vehicle
• Be a non-smoker and pass a background check

*This person will report to the Estate Manager. There are also 2 rotating Nannies in the home.

There is also another part-time nanny in the home 3 days a week so Nanny must be comfortable working as a team with others.  Duties include: getting children ready for the day, toddler care,  preparing healthy snacks and meals for children, play and engage with children in several developmentally appropriate activities (creating games and activities to ensure children are meeting milestones), read books, sing songs, take children to parks, library, museums, art classes, etc. tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher,  laundry, grocery shopping, errands, food preparation, organizational projects, take car in for maintenance as needed, be there for maintenance/repair people as needed. Duties include: toddler care, prepare healthy snacks and meals for child, play and engage in several developmentally appropriate activities with child--read books, sing songs, play games, arts and crafts, play outside, etc.,, teach shapes, colors, etc.,  take to parks/playgrounds, tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher and let dogs out a few times a day. When baby arrives, newborn/infant care--diapers, bottles, sleep schedule, etc., engaging with newborn, etc. Nanny should have prior experience with both infants and toddlers. The job is primarily housekeeping-household management, but there will be some childcare involved--about 20%. Kids are in school full day (8-year-old boy and 6-year-old boy)--so household tasks are to be done while they are in school; but when they are around--getting breakfast together for children, making lunches for next day for children, driving to/from school, driving to/from after-school activities, and preparing after-school snacks for kids. The ideal candidate will be responsible, organized and dedicated. Parent works from home a few days a week.

Household duties follow a fixed routine and include: daily washing and folding of laundry, basic meal prep (putting ingredients in an instant pot or chopping vegetables), washing any dishes used during the day, and keeping the toys and common areas organized. Nanny duties include newborn care (feeding, diapers, nap), walk to pick up oldest child from school, play with toys, read books, go to parks and playgrounds, make a snack for the oldest child, and make purees for baby when they are older.
