PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in OAK PARK, IL 60302

This active family of 3 is seeking an attentive, detail-oriented, and proactive Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with their family long-term. The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, notices what needs to be done without being micromanaged, and takes pride in helping keep a household clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Duties include: cleaning and maintaining the 5,000 sq. ft. home, tidying and general household upkeep, laundry (beds, sheets, and clothes), cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, dishes, floors (vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping), dusting, watering/cleaning plants, cleaning the dishwasher and washing machine, cleaning fans and appliance filters, keeping the porch and patio tidy, occasionally picking up groceries, and cat care (cleaning bowls, refilling water, and feeding). If candidate is interested, they may also help with occasional dinner preparation.

Candidate will also assist with deeper cleaning projects as needed, but the family does not expect every area or task to be completed during every shift. The family is happy to work with the candidate to prioritize and rotate household tasks.

Attention to detail and care are VERY important to this family. They are looking for someone who will notice when something needs attention, take initiative to handle it or communicate with the family, and use appropriate care when cleaning valuable furniture and items in the home. Candidate should be self-directed, focused while working, and not require micromanagement.

Work days and hours:
16 guaranteed hours per week. Family can offer either of the following schedule options:

Option 1 (preferred): 4 days/week, 2pm–6pm. Family is flexible on which 4 weekdays.

Option 2: 3 days/week: two 6-hour days (11am–5pm or 12pm–6pm) and one 4-hour day scheduled between 11am–6pm. Family is flexible on which weekdays. No weekends.

NOTE: Family will provide car for Housekeeper-Household Manager to use to run errands.

Salary: BEFORE TAXES—To be discussed with Placement Counselor

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, national holidays if they fall on a work day, and 5 sick days
