FULL-TIME NANNY needed in WESTERN SPRINGS, IL 60558

This very friendly family has 4 children: 7-month-old boy, 2.5-year-old boy, 5-year-old boy, and an 8-year-old boy and is seeking a flexible, open-minded, and dependable Nanny to stay with their family long-term. NANNY WILL NEVER HAVE ALL 4 CHILDREN AT THE SAME TIME. Mom works part-time each day. Example, Nanny will take care of younger children during the day while older children are at school. Then, when older children are done with school, either Nanny will be in charge of them and mom will take care of the younger children or vice versa.

Nanny will take care of 2 younger children during the day while older children are in school. Duties include: Baby care (feeding, diaper, naptime), teach and show them new things, keep them safe, happy and fed, play outdoors, and light housekeeping ONLY when children are napping. When older children come home from school Nanny will either take care of them while mom takes care of the younger children (or vice versa). When taking care of the older children they will need to be taken to/from their activities. Family would like Nanny to teach older children how to do their own chores. Dad works from home on occasion. As both parents are doctors it is very important that the Nanny be punctual and reliable. The ideal candidate will be engaging, flexible, and calm/positive.

Work days and hours

Option 1 (40 hours per week) Monday-Thursday: 7am-5pm (sometimes will need Nanny to stay until 6pm--this is dependent upon the season due to after-school activities--will let Nanny know in advanced what days those will be).

Option 2 (44 hours per week): Monday-Thursday: 7am-6pm (family can offer this as the standard schedule and Nanny will help with household management tasks)

NOTE: Potential to work Fridays, weekends, and evenings for more hours if the Nanny is interested. Plus, but not a must!

NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver. Family will provide car for Nanny to use.

Salary: TAKE HOME (To be discussed with Placement Counselor)

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation and 3 paid sick days. Holidays: some major holidays off and paid. Due to the parents’ medical schedules, the Nanny may be required to work certain holidays when a parent is on-call. The Nanny will be notified in advance of any holidays requiring coverage and will be paid time-and-a-half for holidays worked.
