AFTER-SCHOOL NANNY needed in CHICAGO, IL 60654 (RIVER NORTH)

This buys family has 3 children: 6-year-old girl, 3-year-old boy and 8-month-old baby girl and is seeking a calm, helpful and dedicated After-School Nanny to stay with them long-term. 6 year old and 3 year old are at school during the day. Duties include: watch baby while daytime nanny picks 2 older children up from school, prepare snacks for kids, help oldest child with any homework needed (he's in 1st grade), play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with kids, prepare dinner for kids, load/unload dishwasher, tidy up common areas, children's laundry, help with pick up of kids from activities as needed (mom will mostly do this, but there may be times Nanny will need to), assist with bath time and bedtime routine (mom will be home between 5:30pm/6pm and Nanny will tag-team with mom--ex: mom will put baby to bed while Nanny puts other 2 kids down, mom will pick up kids from activities while Nanny bathes baby/gets baby ready for bed, etc.). This is a long-term position for 5 days and 26.25 hours a week.

This sweet family of 5 is seeking a trustworthy, careful and experienced Housekeeper to stay with their family long-term. Duties include: Deep clean and maintain the home (the home is large, but only certain areas will need to be cleaned)--this will include dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, water plants and feed cats. Housekeeper must be up to date on vaccines, including Covid and Flu and wear a mask in the home while cleaning since one child is immunocompromised. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented and familiar with high end finishes.

Work days and hours:
2 full days. Flexible on the start/end times and # of hours per day. Friday is a must day. Flexible on the other day of the week.

LIVE-IN NANNY needed in HIGHLAND PARK, IL 60035

This sweet family has 3 children: 17 year old girl, 13 year old girl and 11 year old girl and is seeking a responsible, mature and understanding Live-In Nanny. Mom stays home and will be primarily caring for the 13 year old. 13 year old is currently going through Cancer treatment. Duties include: preparing breakfast for the kids in the morning, drive children to/from school, come back and clean up after breakfast, and then do some household tasks such as: run errands, tidy up common areas, do children's laundry, load/unload dishwasher, organizational projects, store returns, feed cats, etc. then Nanny will have a break in the day since kids are at school, and then pick up kids from school around 2:40/3pm, drive to/from after-school activities, prepare snacks when they get home, ensure they do homework and prepare dinner as needed (mom typically does, but times when she is not there, Nanny will need to prepare dinner for the kids). Because the 13 year old is immunocompromised, Nanny must be up to date on all vaccines, including Covid and Flu. Nanny must also be comfortable wearing a mask in certain areas of the home where 13 year old is. The ideal candidate will be very caring, discrete and helpful.

***This is a live-in position. Nanny will have a separate bedroom and bathroom.

A typical day will be: Monday-Friday: 6:30am start with the kids--with a break in the day--then Nanny will pick up kids around 2:40/3pm. Sample schedule: 6:30am-10:30am and 2pm-6pm

**Flexibility is needed with the schedule dependent on school season and hospital stays. There will be times where mom needs to stay overnight at the hospital with 13 year old so Nanny will be in charge while she's gone, where weekends might be needed, etc. Overall flexibility is needed. For times where longer days, weekends, etc. are needed, the Nanny will get other days off during the week.

Duties include: Deep clean and maintain the 8,000 square foot home, laundry, steaming or ironing, make beds, change bed linens, organizational/special projects (ex: cleaning garage, organizing closets, cleaning patio furniture seasonally, power washing patio, etc.), pet care and clean-up, run errands as needed (ex: if candidate notices the family is running low on supplies or a light bulb needs to be changed, he/she will know to go to the store and get the items, etc.), accept deliveries, load/unload dishwasher, let vendors in, clean-up outdoor areas as needed and very occasionally help with driving older child (13 year old girl). The ideal candidate will be very independent and self-sufficient to see what needs to be done in the home. The candidate will also be very dedicated, detail-oriented and positive.  Candidate must love animals--they have 1 large dog and 2 cats. Dad works from home a few days a week. There are specialty surfaces and finishes in the home--ex: stone surfaces, faucets, wood floors, marble, etc.--so someone who knows how to care for these and what products to use.

This is a long-term position for 3 days and 25-30 hours a week.

Schedule:

3 days per week. Monday and Friday are must days. Flexible on the 3rd day as long as it's a week day. Flexible on start and end times and family can do anywhere between 25-30 hours per week.

Job will be about 50% household management and 50% childcare -Duties include: Oversee and coordinate the family's schedules, run errands, keep the home tidy and in good order, do laundry, schedule and wait for home maintenance appointments, drive children to/from activities, store exchanges and returns, accept deliveries, organizational projects, take family's vehicle to get serviced as needed, schedule vendors, pack/unpack for trips, pet care for dog--feed, take out, take on walks, vet appointments, etc., set appointments, make reservations, oversee and communicate with chef for grocery shopping, help prep for events, willing to stay overnight with the children when parents, preparing snacks for kids and dinner, making sure curfew or bedtime is met (especially with the older child), checking to make sure children have done their homework, etc. The ideal candidate will be an excellent and efficient communicator and be able to enforce rules with the children.

Monday: 10am-6pm

Friday: 2pm---overnight til Sat morning at 9am

+1 full weekend overnight per month--typically Thur--Sun.
