Duties include: newborn care (diapers, feeding, naptime, etc.), get children dressed, prepare bottles, wash/sterilize bottles, prepare simple snacks and meals for children, play and engage in several developmentally appropriate activities with children, do arts and crafts, read books, sing songs, take to nearby parks and playgrounds, tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher and children's laundry. It's important that this person is very engaging and creative to come up with fun and educational activities to do with the children. For the older child--a structured schedule with predictable activities would be idea. Parents both work from home currently in a different part of the home away from nanny. Nanny must be taking all necessary precautions around COVID seriously and must have experience with at least 2 children at a time. The ideal candidate will be engaging, communicative and active. Family is also due with a new baby in May 2021. From now until baby is born, duties will include: getting child ready for the day (dressed, teeth brushed, etc.), prepare breakfast for child, drive child to daycare (starts at 8am), come back to the home and do household management duties while child is at daycare--these can include: light housekeeping--tidying up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, make beds, laundry, run errands, grocery shopping, organizational projects, take family vehicle to get services/repairs as needed, pack/unpack for trips, cook dinner, etc., then pick up child from daycare at 5pm and prepare dinner for him and engage with child in age-appropriate activities during the times that he is home. Once mom goes back to work after the baby is born (in mid June), nanny will be responsible for newborn care. This job will include: cleaning the family home and cleaning their private office (located 1.5 miles away from the home). The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, communicative and organized. 

Duties include: Deep clean and maintain the family home (2,300 square feet), load/unload dishwasher, make the beds, change bed linens, clean windows as needed, organizational projects, accept deliveries and laundry. Housekeeper will also clean the family's private office--deep cleaning--vacuuming, dusting, tidying up, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen area, washing windows, etc. 

This is a long-term position for 20 hours per week. 

1. 6 hours to clean the family office (this can be spread out over 2 or 3 days). Hours for cleaning the office, though, will need to be during non-business hours (ex: weekdays before 9am or 5pm and later or weekends anytime). Housekeeper can pick which times/days work for them.

Family understands that the housekeeper will not be able to do all of these tasks in one day, so family and housekeeper would come up with a schedule that works best--ex: clean floor 1 one day + laundry, clean floor 2 the next day + meal prep, etc.  For the meal prep /cooking--family will provide simple recipes/instructions. There is a nanny in the home that watches the children. Duties include: infant care (diapers, feeding, naptime, etc.), get child ready for the day (dressed, etc.), prepare bottles of breastmilk (familiarity with breastmilk and paced bottle feeding a plus), prepare solids when baby is old enough to eat solids, play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with baby, take outside, sing songs, read books, take to parks, library, classes, zoo, etc. (when baby is older/when COVID is better under control), tidy up common areas, clean sterilize bottles and keep baby's nursery/play area neat and tidy. The ideal nanny will be knowledgeable in infant development and will be very engaging and coming up with activities to do with him, be very loving and a good communicator.  Parents are currently working from home at the moment. Nanny must be following all necessary COVID precautions seriously. 

NOTE: Family currently lives in Deerfield. In a few months they will then be in a rental home in Vernon Hills. And then when their new home is complete, will be in Hawthorn Woods long-term. 

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 20-25 hours a week.

Work days and hours:

Monday-Friday: 7:30am/8am - 11:30am/12:30pm

NOTE: Nanny must have a vehicle. No driving at the moment, but as baby gets older, driving will be needed and will be reimbursed for mileage. 

Salary: $15-$18 per hour TAKE HOME

This warm family has 2 children: 5 year old girl and 2 month old baby boy and is seeking a loving, responsible and engaging nanny to stay with their family long-term. The ideal nanny will be playful, engaging, educational, fun and nurturing. Duties will include: infant care (diapers, bottles, naps, etc.), bathe children as needed, prepare bottles, prepare solids for baby when he's old enough to eat solids, prepare snacks and meals for older child when she gets home from school, drive older child to/from school as needed (sometimes mom will do this, sometimes nanny will), play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with kids (ex: knowing how to play and engage with a baby vs. a 5 year old), do arts and crafts, read books, sing songs, take to nearby parks and playgrounds, do children's laundry, tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, run errands as needed and keep play areas and kids rooms organized. Parents are both working from home due to COVID. Nanny should be very creative, energetic and loving. Nanny should also be an experienced driver and be comfortable driving in the city as the older child's school is in Hyde Park. Nanny should also be taking COVID very seriously--following all necessary precautions, limiting circle and exposure, not attending large gatherings, wearing a mask if need to go out public (ex: grocery store), etc. 

This is a long-term position for 5 days and 40 hours a week. 

Work days and hours:

Option 1:  Monday-Friday: 1pm-8pm + 5 hours either on Saturday or Sunday

Option 2  Tuesday-Saturday: 12pm-8pm

Option 3: Monday-Friday: 11am-7pm with flexibility to help out with 1-2 Saturday nights a month

Option 4: Monday-Friday: 12pm-7pm with flexibility to help out with 1-2 Saturday nights a month. 

NOTE: Nanny must have own vehicle (no public transportation right now)  to get to family's home. Parking is provided. Nanny can use family vehicle for driving older child to/from school. 


Salary: $21-$26 per hour

Mom stays home and is looking for someone to work as a team with her to tackle her day to day tasks. This person must be flexible as each day may look different--ex: some days more childcare, some days more household management tasks, some days caring for one of the children, some days all, etc. Duties will vary day to day but can include: get children ready for the day (dressed, brush teeth, etc.), prepare simple and healthy snacks and meals for children, drive older children to/from school, play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with children, sing songs, read books, be creative with coming up with several different fun and educational activities to do with the kids, take to nearby parks, playgrounds, etc., light housekeeping--tidy up common areas, load unload dishwasher, organize toys, etc., family laundry, run occasional errands and pack/unpack for trips, The ideal candidate will be very easy to work with and be very helpful. This person should also be loving, energetic and very professional. 

 Work days and hours:

Option 1 (Part-Time 23.5 hours/week):  Monday: 8am - 6:30pm, Friday: 8am-5pm and Saturday: 4 hours--prefers evening times but can be flexible here

Option 2 (Part-Time 19.5 hours/week): Monday: 8am-6:30pm and Friday: 8am-5pm
