FULL-TIME NANNY-HOUSEHOLD MANAGER needed in GLENCOE, IL 60026
This friendly family has 1 child: 1-year-old girl and is seeking a proactive, outgoing and flexible Nanny-Household Manager to stay with their family for many years. Duties include: get child ready for the day (dressed, diaper changed, brush teeth, etc.), prepare simple and healthy snacks and meals for child, play and engage in developmentally appropriate activities with child, read books, sing songs, take on outings to library, classes, parks, etc. (the more engagement the better as they try not to do screen time with child), tidy up common areas, load/unload dishwasher, organizational projects, family laundry, run errands, let dog out, meal preparation, etc. They will be putting child in a Montessori school part-time, so some of the day will be childcare and some will be household management. Someone flexible and helpful is ideal as each day may look a little different. The ideal candidate will be educational, engaging, reliable, calm and nurturing. Family is looking to have another child in the next year or two, so someone okay with future newborn care and long-term would be ideal!
Travel: Nanny must be comfortable traveling with the family a 3-5 times a year. Some domestic trips and some international trips. A passport is a must for the travel.
Work days and hours:
Monday-Friday: 8am-4pm + Flexibility with schedule as needed (Ex: might need to shift hours a bit, need extra hours here and there, occasional evenings and/or weekends, etc.).
NOTE: Nanny must be an experienced driver and have own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
Family has 1 dog--Golden Retriever and 1 cat.
Salary: $30-$35 per hour
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 national holidays, 2 sick days.
**Working some holidays would be a big plus--discussed in advance--but not a must.
